I have background in Education and Deafness, equipping me with a unique perspective in my professional practice. I have many years experience working with children, young people and adults who have a hearing loss with either hearing aids or a cochlear implant. I also have a lived experience of hearing loss as I am deaf in one ear.
As a Counsellor I work with an integrated humanistic approach, primarily Person-Centred, placing the client at the forefront of the counselling process. I will actively listen to you with empathy, and will refrain from judgement, and I foster a supportive environment for personal growth and exploration.
Usually I would recommend a block of 6-8 sessions but am also able to offer Single Session Counselling depending on your needs.
I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Service, where I am officially recognised as an Accredited Therapist for Young People. Additionally, I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, adhering strictly to their Ethical Code to ensure the highest standards of professional integrity.
