Data Storage 

Identifiable Data

Your identifiable information will be securely stored in a locked cabinet and will be appropriately destroyed by shredding one month following the conclusion of your counselling sessions. 

Should your preferred mode of communication be via telephone or text message, your contact number will be retained in my password-protected mobile device, labelled with your client reference along with the term “client.” This information will also be deleted one month after the cessation of your counselling. 

Non-Identifiable Data 

 I engage in regular clinical supervision, during which I discuss my professional practice and review anonymised session notes. These anonymised records will be securely stored either in a locked filing cabinet or on a password-protected electronic device for a maximum duration of five years, in accordance with my insurance requirements. After this period, the records will be shredded or permanently deleted.

Data Processing

Your data will not be shared, except where mandated by law, such as in the event of a court order. In situations where there is a serious threat to life or safety, I may be obliged to inform your general practitioner or notify the relevant authorities. I will discuss such actions with you beforehand, wherever possible.
